The Friday night service begins with the recital of Shir Hashirim and continues with Mincha, Kabbalat Shabbat, and Arvit. Rabbi Poupko also shares a short dvar torah between Kabbalat Shabbat and Arvit. The service begins 25 minutes before candle lighting.
Tefillah begins at 9:00 AM and usually ends at 11:30. Every Shabbat, the service is followed by a Kiddush.
Mincha on Shabbat afternoon starts 45 before sunset. The entire community is invited to a sit down Seudat Shlishit with a beautiful spread of food put together by the kind volunteers of our shul.
Classes and Shiurim
The Shabbat is highlighted by the many classes offered throughout the day.
The classes take place in the morning and the afternoon.
The topics of the class include Gemara, Halacha, Pirkei Avot, and many seasonal topics.
The Shabbat Kiddush and Seuda Shlisheet are very special times for social interaction and are mitzvot which we all enjoy immensely. If you would like to sponsor a Kiddush, please contact Fred Zaghi.
